MSc HYDROCHEMISTRY

A unique course of 4 semesters to envision students with a sound theoretical basis of various chemical processes and interactions that govern the hydrosphere and, through a judicious mix of interdisciplinary subjects, a much-needed holistic appreciation of the biogeochemical factors that regulate the hydrosphere.

A remarkable feature of the course is the emphasis given to the various analytical techniques and the excellent opportunity offered for hands-on training on sophisticated instruments such as UV/VIS/IR/Atomic absorption spectrophotometers, GCMS, LCMS, etc.

The successful students have the specialized analytical dexterity that place them in diverse and highly potential fields as chemical instrumentation, Industrial quality control, water and effluent analysis, pollution monitoring and EIA, coastal zone management, aquatic resource management, etc
