VISION

The Department of Chemical Oceanography seeks to kindle interest in the chemistry of ocean systems, to explore biogeochemical interactions of natural and anthropogenic inputs in marine habitats, and to help forewarn possible damage/dangers to fragile aquatic ecosystems.  

Mission

To achieve excellence in creating and disseminating knowledge in all facets of aquatic chemistry through rigorous instruction, field studies, modelling, sophisticated instrumental analyses, research, and extension activities.
